Terms and conditions
Operating Days –Weather permitting, trains run
every day from 15th March 2008 to the first week of November inclusive.
Times –The first departure from Llanberis is scheduled
for 9am, with trains running at frequent intervals subject to weather conditions
and passenger demand. Trains will only run subject to carrying a minimum
number of passengers. At Bank Holidays and during July, August and September,
departures are half-hourly with the last possible departure at 5pm (subject
to passenger demand and weather conditions). Trains may be operated by
either steam or diesel traction.
Dogs and Luggage –Only officially registered support
dogs can be allowed on trains and bulky luggage cannot be carried.
Group Visits –Special fares are available for pre-booked
groups of 15 or more travelling together. Charter trains are available – contact
us for details.
Car Parking –There are Pay & Display car parks
nearby. There is access to a drop off point on the main forecourt at Llanberis
Station. There is also a disabled car parking space at Llanberis Station.
Disabled –Disabled passengers are always welcome
but those with severe mobility problems are invited to discuss their particular
requirements by telephoning well in advance of their intended visit. For

Tickets please
The Ticket Office at Llanberis Station is open daily during the season
from 08:30. Alternatively tickets can be purchased by telephone in advance
of travel using a credit/debit card subject to a £3.50 administration
charge per transaction. (Telephone 0871 720 0033). Tickets are not transferable
or refundable so please check the weather forecast before making a booking.
We do not accept telephone bookings on the day of travel. We recommend
you allow 1 hour before the scheduled departure time to collect pre-booked
tickets and enjoy the free audio visual show.
The duration of the return journey to the Summit Station takes 2 hours
30 minutes which includes a 30 minute stop at the peak.
The weather
The weather on Snowdon is very unpredictable and can change quickly. If weather conditions become severe, trains cannot proceed to Clogwyn and Rocky Valley will be the destination.
The management reserves the right to close, temporarily withdraw
or alter any of the
facilities at any time without prior notice due to inclement
weather, technical,
capacity or operational reasons.
In the event of trains being cancelled because of either severe weather
or for operational reasons, passengers will be entitled to a full refund.
