Having always prided ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer it is very surprising that it has taken 114 years for Snowdon Mountain Railway to recruit our first female guard. Rachel joined the company earlier this year and was teamed with someone to look after her,and now after a suitable training period, has passed out as our first female guard. Rachel has a passion for trains and has previously worked with the Welsh Highland Railway. General Manager, Alan Kendall said ' We are really pleased that Rachel decided to join us at Llanberis and we look forward to other female applicants in the future.
